Born to Japanese immigrant parents in the DMV(DC, Maryland, Virginia) area, Kazu Okamoto is a creative who aims to showcase his unique experiences, aesthetics, and views utilizing a multitude of different creative mediums. Currently studying Menswear Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, he aims to further hone his skills in design, pattern making, construction, and technical drawings in order to have the proper knowledge to execute ideas in the medium of clothing.

Apart from fashion, he has many other interests including photography, painting, screen printing, cello, and judo. Currently, he is heavily into exploring photography as a way to showcase surroundings and daily occurrences he finds interesting and compelling. In order to improve his composition, eye, and editing, he is challenging himself to post and edit one photograph a day for the year 2024.
